Black Lab Marketing LLC has a different charter than most – to support both businesses and non-profit organizations. After working on both sides, it is clear that many of the issues in the two worlds stem from the same fundamental problem – a lack of a cohesive, understandable and achievable strategy. Many don’t believe they have the time nor the inclination to solve such a problem but the task is not as daunting as it seems. Black Lab Marketing is committed to make the process of creating a successful strategy and plan for your organization as painless as possible.
Shirley Turner is president and founder of Black Lab Marketing LLC. She is well-respected throughout the industry for her forthrightness on channel issues and trends and her high regard for the reseller. Formerly with Intel for 24 years, she held numerous positions during her tenure ranging from finance to operations to marketing. She last held the position of Director of North American Channel Marketing, where she was responsible for all channel marketing strategy and program activities for distributors, system builders, integrators and value-add resellers.
Since 2004, Shirley has also been director of Royal Family Kids’ Camps of Yamhill County, a summer camp specifically for abused and abandoned children who reside in foster care ages 7-11. In this capacity, she manages a large base of volunteers and oversees all operations, including staffing, training, child placement, fundraising, finances and budgeting. In addition, she serves on the national Camp Cabinet for Royal Family Kids’ Camps, Inc. She also serves with Chehalem Youth & Family Services as a vice-chairperson for the Friends of Chehalem House board, a non-profit that provides housing and services for emotionally-challenged teens and families. In 2009, Shirley became a member of the board for Hope Unlimited, a non-profit organization that provides summer camp experiences through Teen Reach Adventure Camps (T.R.A.C.) and year-round mentorship for 12-15 year olds in foster care through T.R.A.C.life.
